The Supreme Court Ramifications of Justice Scalia's Death.

  Justice Antonin Scalia was found Dead at a ranch in West,Texas at the ripe old age of 79. Justice Scalia was a right wing leaning conservative appointed to the Supreme Court By Ronald Reagan in 1986. He was instrumental in many decisions as well as politicizing the court to match his political ideology.

  This ramifications of his death are of great magnitude. If and when President Obama decides to name his next nominee, could tip the scale of the court to the left when it comes to issues. We might see citizen united case over turned. We can see a less corporate pro-active court, abortion restrictions that are appearing around the country might also be overturned.

  Many conservatives in the senate have rushed to say that they will fight with tooth and nail to negate President Obama's selection of a nominee. Senate Staffer Con Carroll has already said that the Obama's chance of appointing a new justice is zero.

  The current republican nominees want to stop the nomination process till the next president is chosen. Ted Cruz has said we owe it to Scalia that the next president chose the next justice. Clearly the Republican nominees as well as conservative members of the senate are willing to take their chances with the possibility of a Republican President winning on November eighth general election.

  Depending how this situation rolls out, we might see a conservative leaning court with the appointment of two conservative judges, or quite the opposite with a liberal court. With the the Democratic nominees beating the republican nominees in current polls, it is most likely that the new Justices will be apppointed by a democratic president. The loss of Antonin Scalia deserves the mounring of our nation, but no one could deny that it will determine the course that this country will take in the decades to come.
